بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته، أختي

As-salāmu alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuhu, dear sister.

Before you explore this space, I would like to share with you the story behind the name Bayt ul-Ukht (House of the Sister). This name is inspired by a remarkable and inspiring place from the early days of Islam — the House of Al-Arqam.

The House of Al-Arqam was not just a home; it was the very first institution of higher learning in human history, taught directly by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself. This small house became a sacred place where the first believers gathered, learned, and were transformed. It was in this humble space that hearts were enlightened with the light of faith, bringing people out of darkness and into the beautiful path of Islam.

Those who graduated from this spiritual school became the strongest, most devoted followers of the Prophet ﷺ. Even after his passing, they carried his teachings with unwavering energy and dedication, spreading the message of truth and monotheism across the world. These early companions — such as Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman, and ‘Ali رضي الله عنهم — became legendary for their faith, courage, and leadership.

What made this house so special was the presence of the Prophet ﷺ himself, whose personality was truly magnetic and transformative. When a person stepped into the House of Al-Arqam, they experienced a deep spiritual change — their hearts opened, their faith grew, and they became ready to face the challenges that came with following Islam.

The love these early Muslims had for the Prophet ﷺ was rooted deeply in their love for Allah ﷻ and their commitment to His message. It was this love and devotion that inspired their actions and changed history forever.

Inspired by this beautiful story, I wanted Bayt-ul-Ukht to be a similar place — a house of sisters — where hearts come together to learn, grow, and support one another on our journey of faith and life.

May Allah ﷻ bless this space and make it a source of barakah, knowledge, and sisterhood for everyone who visits. Ameen.
